City of Aurora Parks and Open Space Department
The City of Aurora Parks and Open Space Department manages over 7,000 acres of open space and natural areas including two reservoirs, two nature centers offering a wide spectrum of interpretive services and environmental programming, a rodeo arena, an organic garden, and over 50 miles of trails. The Open Space and Natural Resources Division was formed in 2001 within the Parks and Open Space Department to provide more focused and more site appropriate management of natural areas.
