The Colorado Department of Agriculture is pleased to announce the launch of the 2026 Noxious Weed Grant Cycle! The Request for Application (RFA) and all accompanying application documents have been released.
Please use the links in this email or visit our Grants Website to access the required materials.
Important Change for 2026:
This year, we are only accepting applications from government entities (Counties, Cities, Cooperative Weed Management Areas, Conservation Districts, etc.).
If you do not fall into these categories and are interested in the funds, please connect with your local county or city to become a partner on their grant application.
Note:
The RFA (Request for Application) has detailed, updated instructions and serves as your complete roadmap for a successful submission. We strongly recommend you review it carefully first, as it clearly outlines:
- Grant Eligibility
 - Application Process
 - Mandatory Required Documents
 - Our Application Ranking and Evaluation Process

Once you have read through the RFA, please fill out:
- Application (Google Form)
 - Species Table (Open link, then select File -> Download -> Microsoft Excel)
 - Budget Table (Open link, then select File -> Download -> Microsoft Excel)
 - Propose treatment maps

Instructions:
- Fill out the Application and click “submit.” You will receive a confirmation email.
 - Forward the email confirmation (change the Subject line to: “2026 CDA Grant Application – ORGANIZATION NAME”) with all other documents attached to weeds before 5:00 pm on Monday, December 15, 2025.
 - If items are too large to fit in one email, you may upload them to a Google Drive folder and email the link. Alternatively, you may also package documents together in a Zip file.
 - If you have any questions about eligibility, etc, please visit the Grant FAQ page. If you do not find an answer there, please reach out to us by emailing weeds.

Please share this opportunity with anyone who may be interested in applying!
Best,
The Noxious Weed Team
