JEFFERSON COUNTY OPEN SPACE SMALL RESEARCH GRANTS PROGRAM

Jefferson County Open Space awards small grants for research on open space lands. These research projects and inventories provide valuable data to monitor management practices, improve resources and park visitor experiences, and improve our understanding of conservation needs on Open Space property.

- Grants are awarded up to $15,000.
- Preference will be given to proposals that address the priority research topics, but all proposals will be considered.
- Multi-year projects may receive funding for two years.
- Researchers may propose interagency projects
- It is strongly encouraged for applicants to discuss the eligibility of their project with appropriate staff members prior to submitting a proposal. Discussion window remains open.
The proposal deadline is Tuesday, January 17, 2023. You are encouraged to contact JCOS staff at ossrgrants to discuss potential ideas and proposals prior to submission.
