Hello Everyone,
I am building a comprehensive database of species records for the Louisville Open Space program. Most of our records on hand are plant and bird lists created by contractors and staff. However, I am investigating incorporating citizen science records into the database as well. Right now, I’m focused on records submitted via iNaturalist and eBird. Have other people had success leveraging data from those sources? If you are using citizen science data, is it primarily for educational purposes or does it also inform your management decisions? Have you developed a satisfactory work flow to export data from citizen science web platforms and incorporate it into your own internal records?
Thanks,
