Hello everyone and thank you for all of the helpful responses to my question earlier today. As an fyi to the people who asked me to share my findings, I’ve pasted below the resources I received.
Here is some info based on informal research conducted by GOCO (Great Outdoors Colorado): The following cities and counties have tax programs (excise, sales, etc.) that support conservation/open space acquisitions:
- Adams County
- Arapahoe County
- Boulder County
- Town of Breckenridge
- City and County of Broomfield
- City of Boulder
- Chaffee County
- City of Colorado Springs
- Town of Crested Butte (land transfer excise tax)
- City and County of Denver
- Douglas County
- City of Durango
- Eagle County
- City of Fort Collins
- Grand County
- Gunnison County
- Jefferson County
- Larimer County
- Park County
- Pitkin County
- Routt County
- Summit County
- City of Westminster
I also received information from a contact at the City of Greeley, who researched all of the most populous 20 cities in Colorado to assess whether they have a municipal and/or access to a county-level sales tax, and all 20 largest communities do except for Greeley, Pueblo, and Grand Junction.
COSA is a resource for a list of all open space agencies: https://coloradoopenspace.org/about/
And CSU maintains a comprehensive list of protected lands in CO and agency ownership: https://cnhp.colostate.edu/projects/comap/

Subject: open space tax: which counties and municipalities have one?
Hello everyone,
I’m wondering if there exists a comprehensive list somewhere of the Colorado counties and municipalities that have an open space tax? Thanks for any info about a centrally located list or other updated resource.
Best wishes,
Linda
