South Suburban is now hiring a naturalist guide to lead programs in Sheridan, CO as part of the GOCO Generation Wild Coalition. Position is highly independent and flexible. It can remain a part-time role, can expand to 40 hours/wk during peak summer programming, and may be able to work supplemental hours in a similar role at South Platte Park in Littleton for the right candidate. Plan and lead canoe trips, campfires, summer camps, and hikes. Depending on schedule, we may be able to provide professional Interpretive Guide certification, CPR/First Aid certification, and our team is committed to providing mentoring opportunities in ranger skills, park management, wildlife identification, and more. Ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills in English, confidence speaking in front of groups, and experience managing groups of youth. Bilingual with Spanish is helpful, as is having had a driver’s license for at least one year and with a good record.
