The City and County of Denver’s Mountain Parks team has a job opening for a Historic Preservation Specialist to perform historic preservation work on Denver Mountain Park facilities. The Denver Mountain Parks system is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and features over 300 historic properties, including the Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater National Historic Landmark, and significant historic structures designed by noted Denver architect J.J. Benedict. This position will also be responsible for the preservation maintenance of the historic Red Rocks CCC camp in Morrison, one of the last two remaining intact camps in the nation. We are looking for candidates with experience working on historic properties, a strong foundation in traditional skills and the use of hand and power tools, and a love for parks and history.
