Under general direction of the Director, the Deputy Director overseeing the Community Connections Division of OSMP assists in providing vision and strategic leadership to support a successful and high-performing department. The position works as part of the department’s senior leadership “Director’s Team” to set and accomplish the vision and strategic goals of the organization, develop department workplans and budgets that support the strategic vision, and to develop and lead effective teams. This role will be responsible for assisting the Director in planning, supervising and administering the activities of the department and will specifically oversee the department’s Ranger Services; Education and Outreach; and Volunteerism, Service-Learning, and Partnerships workgroups and programs. This division serves as the direct interface with the public, volunteers, and visitors to OSMP land system.
