Hello COSA Community,
We are currently hiring seasonal Rocky Mountain National Park Biological Science Technician GS-06/07 and GS-05 positions! Our season is typically mid-April/May through late-September/October. Job announcements are currently open on USAJOBs with an application deadline of 12/03/2024 at 11:59pm ET, or earlier if the applicant cap is met. This cap is often met soon after announcements go live, so I recommend applying as soon as possible.
Links below are for crew member and crew lead positions. Note that these position announcements include multiple parks in the intermountain region (Rocky Mountain, Grand Teton, Grand Canyon, Glacier, and Yellowstone) that may be hiring for these positions. Applicants can select which location(s) they are interested in during the application process.
Rocky Mountain plans to hire Vegetation (including restoration, greenhouse, monitoring, & volunteer coordination), Wildlife, Large Mammal Ecology, Forestry, and Research Learning Center (RLC) seasonal staff from these announcements. Positions labeled "GS-6/7" are often crew leads, while "GS-5" and "GS-4" positions are usually crew members. The federal application process is a bit different than the private sector, so I recommend checking out this 5 minute video on how to create a federal resume and this USAJOBs Help website with tips for creating a profile, understanding a job announcement, and applying to a position.
