The City of Lafayette Open Space offers year-round free public environmental education programs and events to support the strategic goals for inspiring stewardship, appreciation and preservation of Lafayette’s natural resources while reflecting equitable outreach and engagement with our diverse residents.
In 2025, Open Space education programming will be implemented through a variety of contract, volunteer, and staff-led events. We are looking to identify qualified individuals interested and available to be contracted to plan and present select Open Space education programs.
Those with a background in outdoor education, local natural history of the region, and a passion for engaging diverse audiences of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities are encouraged to submit a statement of qualifications for consideration.
