The City of Thornton has opened a seasonal opportunity for a Healthy Farmers Market Manager. The Healthy Farmers Market Manager coordinates daily operations during market season and will work with the Healthy Farmers Markets Steering Committee to achieve program outcome measures of increasing food security amongst underserved populations in need of access to fresh produce. The vision of the Healthy Farmers Market is to increase food justice, inspire, nurture and support healthy communities with a mission to build a marketplace that fosters community while offering affordable, fresh food and a variety of community and health resources. The program provides free produce vouchers and fresh-food boxes to households experiencing financial hardship. This position will oversee market staffing and volunteers conducting set-up and tear-down operations.
