COSA Land Management Specialist/Ranger – Douglas County Job Opening

Douglas County Open Space and Natural Resources is currently accepting applications for a Land Management Specialist/Ranger.

Open Space and Natural Resources Land Management Specialists/Rangers research, develop, and implement a full range of highly technical professional land and resource management programs and projects within the Department of Open Space and Natural Resources. These responsibilities include administration of natural resource operations, oversight of agricultural and property leases, supervision of full time, temporary, seasonal staff and volunteers, resource protection, public safety, regulation enforcement, interpretation and education.

Open Space and Natural Resource Land Management Specialists/Rangers and are authorized to enforce Rules and Regulations by the Douglas County Commissioners and the Douglas County Sheriff.

Applicants with ranching, agriculture, GIS, forestry operations, and noxious weed management experience are preferred.

Schedule may vary due to business needs, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Extended hours may be necessary in some cases

Generally, pay range is $55,364-$83,046 annually. Qualifications, education and experience as it relates to the position will be taken into consideration when determining hiring salary.
