The City of Brighton is seeking a dedicated and energetic City Forester to help lead our vibrant and growing urban forestry program!
As part of our Open Space & Forestry team, you’ll play a key role in caring for more than 6,000 public trees across 1,200+ acres of parks and open space. This position offers a unique blend of hands-on field work and community leadership — from planting, pruning, and maintaining trees to inspiring volunteers and engaging residents in stewardship of our urban forest.
Next year marks Brighton’s 40th year as a Tree City USA, and we have an exciting calendar of events and initiatives planned. This is a great opportunity to grow your career, innovate, and make a lasting impact on the health and beauty of our community.
If you’re enthusiastic about forestry, teamwork, and helping shape a thriving and sustainable city, we’d love to hear from you
