Colorado Parks & Wildlife (CPW) is hiring a Colorado Natural Areas Program (CNAP) seasonal field technician to assist with the field monitoring of State Natural Areas. This is a nine-month position based out of the Denver CPW office.
We are seeking an applicant who:
- Has knowledge of, and is excited to learn more about, Colorado’s rare plants, natural communities, wildlife, invertebrates, fossils, and geology
- Enjoys working with a wide array of landowners and partners (federal, state, private, city, county, etc.)
- Can work collaboratively and autonomously within a small team
- Is able to travel frequently, camp, and navigate in remote areas across the state
- Enjoys working with and helping manage volunteers
- Appreciates a balance between field work and office work (GIS, writing technical field reports, data management, etc.)
