Virtual Workshop: Climate Science Communication FundamentalsEvery place has a climate story. Team Climate Resilient Colorado’s new virtual webinar series explores climate change communication best practices through real-world case studies from across the state. Each session tackles a different dimension of effective climate communication—from science fundamentals to audience psychology to solutions-focused storytelling—while grounding learning in a specific Colorado climate story. Participants will strengthen their ability to connect climate science to the natural features, communities, and lived experiences that make their own places unique. The series kicks off March 12 (1:30–3:00 PM MT) with Climate Science Communication Fundamentals, featuring Dr. Cheryl Manning of OrbWeaver Consulting and Dr. Imtiaz Rangwala of CIRES at University of Colorado Boulder. Using Colorado’s changing hydrologic systems as the anchor story, this interactive session will help you translate complex climate science into clear, compelling, place-based messages that resonate with your audiences. |
