The San Juan National Forest is hiring up to 25 (paid) seasonal forestry technician positions for the 2026 season! These positions are perfect for upper-level high school students, current college students, and recent graduates interested in natural resource and recreation management. We have positions available at each district office (Durango, Dolores, Bayfield, and Pagosa Springs with flexible start/end dates (May/June – August/November). If you have students that would be a good fit for these positions, please encourage them to apply!
