NFF has recently launched the 2026 edition of the Collaborative Capacity Program grant opportunity. Please see the program details below and share with any partners who might be interested in this opportunity from NFF!
2026 PROGRAM FOCUS
This year’s grants will focus on projects that prioritize shared decision-making and bringing together multiple perspectives to co-create solutions for forest stewardship. There is also a Tribal Applicants pathway to provide grants that focus specifically on increasing Tribal co-stewardship and co-management of our National Forests and Grasslands.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
Geographic Scope: Proposals will be accepted from throughout the United States where there can be benefit to National Forest System lands
Award Amount: $20,000 – $50,000
Eligible Applicants: Nonprofit organizations, Tribal governments and organizations, colleges/universities, local governments
Deadline for Community Partner Applicants: May 4, 2026
Deadline for Tribal Applicants: July 13, 2026
