The Denver Parks Green Corps was created to provide employment and job skills training opportunities to individuals new to the workforce or those wanting to make a career transition into the green Jobs industry by creating a career development pathway within the field. The program provides on-the-job training for individuals through the implementation of parks projects. The projects will focus on creating resilient parks and landscapes that can withstand the effects of climate change. Green Corps members will engage in projects such as restoring wildlife habitat, planting trees and native plants, cleaning up waterways, managing noxious weeds, and restoring open space.
