COSA City of Longmont is Hiring a Temporary Watershed Ranger!

City of Longmont is hiring a Temporary Watershed Ranger to help patrol and protect the City’s mountain watershed. Watershed Rangers provide resource protection, community outreach and education, and public safety at Longmont’s Button Rock Preserve, water facilities, and public lands.

This is an entry-level seasonal position limited to 1560 hours per year. Hiring pay range is $22.57 – $25.08/hour.

Longmont anticipates 40-hours/week employment for this position starting in late-March/early-April with opportunities for limited hours into the winter season pending availability of funding. Rangers will be provided significant job skills training during our spring ranger mini-academy including basic emergency medical, law enforcement, and natural resource management training.
