- Position: Seasonal Trail Technician (Full Time, Non-Exempt) on RFTA’s section of the Rio Grande Trail
- Location: Carbondale, CO
- Start Date: April 1, 2024
- End Date: October 31, 2024
- Pay Range: $23.32 – $30.34/hour (based on experience)
Position Summary: Get ready for an adventure! Join us in maintaining and enhancing the Rio Grande Trail Corridor for the ultimate outdoor, multi-use trail experience.
Essential Job Duties:
· Assist with daily maintenance tasks to ensure a safe environment for all trail users.
· Vegetation Management and Noxious Weeds removal (chemical free).
· Maintain Trail and Corridor amenities such as intersections, signs, picnic areas, and more.
· Operate hand and power tools, vehicles, and equipment for trail and land management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to work harmoniously with others.
- Basic knowledge of safe material handling and construction methods.
- Ability to identify plant species, especially noxious weeds.
- Ability to physically perform required duties.
- Basic first aid and CPR
Education & Experience:
- Ideal candidates have an interest in natural resource management or similar fields.
- Basic understanding of trail maintenance and vegetation management preferred.
