Join us for the 6th annual Equity in Conservation & Outdoor Recreation Summit for Action!

Summit for Action brings together community leaders to inspire and drive social change in environmental conservation and outdoor recreation. We aim to foster collaboration and dialogue among various stakeholders, including outdoor recreation organizations, conservation groups, Indigenous communities, policymakers, community organizations, and researchers.

Since its inception, Summit for Action has grown from an annual event to an ecosystem of community leaders, instigators, facilitators, and practitioners who work collaboratively toward solving some of society’s most pressing challenges. Join us as we continue to expand our network and evolve our understanding of collective action.

From Grassroots to Global: Activating Change for Environmental Justice

We believe that change begins at the local level and ripples outward, ultimately transforming the global landscape. Building grassroots environmental movements can be a powerful way to advocate for positive change in our communities and on a larger scale, and they rely on the collective efforts of individuals, public and private organizations, and local communities to address environmental issues. This year’s summit theme focuses on the role of community-led initiatives in driving environmental justice and broader environmental and climate action.

Here’s what’s in store for 2024:

  • October 10th will be a virtual event dedicated to learning from those on the front lines of the fight for environmental justice, including:

  • Keynote by Akiima Price

  • Expert panelists speaking on:

    • Honoring Indigenous Wisdom in Environmental Stewardship

    • Policy Advocacy and Grassroots Action: The Power of Community-Led Conservation Initiatives

  • October 11th will be a dedicated in-person session taking place in partnership with the Denver Zoo, allowing participants to explore practical solutions, build collaborations, and deepen their commitment to the cause.

Early Bird Registration is Open!
