Hello COSA Community!
The City of Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services is beginning the process of updating our emergency response plan for Garden of the Gods Park. Currently, we only have a Flood Response Plan, crafted after the 2012 Waldo Canyon Fire, but would like to expand our arsenal to include response plans for other emergencies, such as: fire, active shooter, extreme weather, etc.
As we begin to update and develop our plans, we are reaching out to the COSA Community seeking examples that your organizations have developed for either singular parks or whole park systems to help guide us as we craft our own. Additionally, we would love any further recommendations, tips, or input about lessons your organization learned going through this process.
