COSA Call for Session Proposals: 2025 COSA Conference in Steamboat Springs

Dear COSA Community,

Mark your calendars, the 2025 COSA Conference is coming! This year’s conference will be held Monday, October 6th to Wednesday, October 8th at The Steamboat Grand in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of COSA conferences, and our theme isCelebrating Stories of Open Space: 25 Years of Conservation and Connections.” We are excited to mark the anniversary with the return of the Mountainfilm Festival network event and a full slate of outstanding conference sessions. We need your inspired ideas for sessions to make that happen!

We invite session proposals that highlight outstanding work in open space conservation. We seek interactive presentations that inspire dialogue, encourage constructive debate, and involve multiple partners. Preference will be given to sessions that engage attendees in meaningful conversations and embrace diverse perspectives.

This year, we are excited to offer two session lengths: 45 minutes or 75 minutes. Presenters who aspire to hold a 150-minute session can apply for two back-to-back 75-minute slots.

Session proposals are due by Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at 11:59 pm MST.

For more specific information and to submit your proposal, visit:

Keep your eyes out for conference registration coming in early July.

We look forward to reviewing your submissions!

Best regards,

COSA RFP Committee
