COSA Paid Conservation Internships with Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance

Hi COSA community,

I am excited to share that Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance (DZCA) will host two paid conservation internships ($19.30/hour) in collaboration with Denver Mountain Parks and the Denver Mountain Parks Foundation.

The Denver Mountain Parks Foundation Conservation Internship is available to candidates pursuing a degree from a Community College in Metro Denver or Metro State University. This opportunity is ideal for students interested in pursuing a career in conservation (prior experience is not required).

The interns will help both DZCA and Denver Mountain Parks with field research, grassland restoration, data organization and analysis, community engagement, collaborative conservation, and science communication.

Internship Schedule

  • 10 hours/week during the academic year: Spring semester (March start date–May 2026) and Fall semester (Sept–Dec 2026)
  • 40 hours/week during DZCA’s summer field season (May–Sept 2026).
