Hello COSA Community:
I am pleased to share that the COSA Steering Committee is now seeking session proposals for the 2026 COSA conference. This year’s conference will be held on Monday, October 5th through Wednesday, October 7th, in Crested Butte, CO.
This year’s theme is "Caring for the Commons" and the committee encourages session topics on programs, partnerships, and projects that highlight the work you do to care for our public lands.
Think creatively! What are you and your partners doing that showcase your work and inspire others? The committee encourages submissions on engaging topics that will expand our collective knowledge of open spaces. Preference will be given to interactive presentations that invite dialogue and constructive debate as well as those with multiple partners submitted by an open space agency. The sessions are 60 minutes in length, requests for two 60 minute sessions will also be considered.
For more detailed information and to submit session proposals, please visit:

If you have questions please email: rfp
All 2026 session proposals are due by Friday, May 1, 2026, at 11:59 MST.
Thank you and we look forward to reviewing your 2026 proposals!
