Dear COSA Community,
It has been a difficult financial year for many of the organizations in our community. In addition to supporting new professionals with scholarship opportunities, we also want to support those that have been with us for years who are losing their ability to attend COSA. That’s why this year we are offering 2 different scholarship applications- 1 for Emerging Professionals (folks who have not attended a COSA conference before) and 1 for Returning Voices (folks who have attended a COSA conference previously). Both categories are eligible to receive conference registration scholarships AND conference registration + lodging scholarships.
COSA Scholarship (Conference Registration) & Delani Wheeler Scholarship (Registration + Lodging)
COSA will award several scholarships to cover the registration costs for the 2026 conference. This award is made possible by our sponsors and our 2025 hat sales.
In addition, through a generous donation from Delani Wheeler’s family and friends, COSA will award at least one full scholarship, covering registration and lodging. A charter member of the COSA Steering Committee and employee of the City of Boulder, Delani’s passion and energy contributed hugely to COSA’s formation and success.
We do not have a set number of scholarships we will award for each category, scholarships will be based on the applications we receive.

Candidates must be involved in open space, land trust, or natural resource management as an employee, board member, or student in an accredited program at the college level. Copy of a current student ID may be requested.
