Eagle’s Nest Owl’s Roost (ENOR) Environmental Discovery Camp is a nationally recognized, award-winning environmental education program through the Colorado State University Extension Jefferson County 4-H program. For more than 50 years, ENOR has connected youth with Colorado’s natural and cultural history through hands-on outdoor learning experiences.
Campers entering 4th–8th grade spend each day hiking local parks and open spaces while participating in engaging environmental education activities focused on science, teamwork, outdoor skills, and stewardship. ENOR emphasizes environmental education, outdoor adventure, community partnerships, and building meaningful connections between educators and campers.
Environmental Outdoor Educators lead groups of up to 10 campers through daily hikes, experiential learning activities, and outdoor exploration. Educators help create a safe, supportive, and engaging camp environment while following established curriculum and childcare licensing requirements. Responsibilities include leading activities, supervising campers, organizing equipment, and supporting daily camp operations.
Ideal candidates are enthusiastic team players with a passion for outdoor education, youth development, and environmental stewardship. Experience with hiking, Leave No Trace principles, outdoor safety, and working with children is strongly preferred.
