Join members of the Wild Ones Front Range Chapter to explore a rare xeric tallgrass plant community at the foot of the Front Range in Boulder. August is the height of growth for this grassland community. Lynn Riedel, Plant Ecologist with the City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks will assist with species identification and discuss the cultural needs of native grasses and mid to late summer prairie wildflowers.

Please bring plenty of water, wear sun protection and closed-toed shoes (cacti), and dress appropriately for warm or cool weather. A plant list will be provided.
