Hello COSA community,
Would you describe yourself as someone who gets fired up when thinking about event logistics, contracts, and innovative ways to streamline processes? Are you equally as passionate about connecting people with nature? Does your ideal job include thinking outside the box and building collaborative relationships within your community? How about three or more people asking you questions at the same time; do you think that is completely normal?
If you answered yes to the above questions, then you just might be who we’re looking for as our next Natural Areas Facility Operations Coordinator! As a key contributor on our Facility Operations Team, the Coordinator will own the events calendar for Primrose Studio, and any future rental facilities that come onboard within Natural Areas. You will coordinate the bookings of multiple types of events from first inquiry to post-event follow up, oversee all facility operations including management of up to two facility attendants, and play a key role in the marketing plan creation and implementation for Natural Areas public use event rental facilities. We’re looking for someone with an agile mind and an energetic spirit, with a knack for problem solving and facilitating connections.
Most of all, you’ll be eager to discover all the ways you can diversify the user groups of Natural Areas owned public use rental facilities to help share the department mission and inspire future stewards of the natural world by using event venue(s) space to facilitate a unique connection with nature.
Primrose Studio at Reservoir Ridge Natural Area is a secluded and intimate small classroom, meeting and event facility overlooking Claymore Lake, located on Reservoir Ridge Natural Area in northwest Fort Collins. The event facility provides an affordable space to the public while simultaneously providing access to nature through a natural world backdrop with wildlife viewing opportunities.
The Natural Areas Facility Operations division prides itself on providing first class service to our residents, as well as internal city staff and community businesses. The Coordinator provides valuable operational oversight and management of Natural Areas public use event rental spaces.
Below are some pictures of the different event rentals spaces and the job description can be found below as well. If you are interested in this position, you can apply for it at the City of Fort Collins Job Site.
