The position serves as the Director of Colorado Parks and Wildlife. The director is the head of the division and has general supervisory control of and authority over all activities, functions, and employees of the division. The Director plans, organizes, directs and manages the operations of Colorado Parks and Wildlife to achieve the agency mission and to ensure the most efficient, effective, and customer-focused delivery of products and services. The position is responsible for interpretation and implementation of statutes, policies and directives issued by the Colorado Legislature, the office of the Governor, the DNR Executive Director, and members of the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission.
