Hello Open Space Managers!
The City and County of Broomfield Open Space & Trails Division is seeking to improve its visitation count methods. We currently only use staff and volunteers to manually count visitors over two or three days and extrapolate the collected data in order to get an annual visitation estimate.
We are wondering what successful methods or technology (trail counters, ect.) you have had success with for measuring open space and trails visitation. We require methods that are fairly quick and inexpensive. Any information is greatly appreciated.
