OVERALL ROLE: Under moderate supervision, the Temporary (9 month) Agricultural Land Restoration Assistant Crew Lead safely and effectively executes agricultural land restoration program objectives as well as department wide plans that support all chartered land uses and open space purposes. This role coordinates and
conducts various agricultural and natural land management actions such as repairing and constructing agricultural fence and flood irrigation systems, controlling noxious and invasive plant species, conducting land rehabilitation actions following prairie dog removal, improving ecosystem services such as soil health and native plant and wildlife habitat, and performs related duties as assigned. This role requires hiking and/or physical outdoor work up to 10 hours per day, carrying backpack, hand and power tools, and working outside in inclement weather in all types of terrain.
