Colorado Youth Corps Association (CYCA) is recruiting our next Associate Director to join the conservation corps family. Please see the attached position description.
Based in downtown Denver, the Associate Director position is an exempt, executive-level position that will have four main areas of strategic focus:
- Workforce Development—this entails leading our Careers in Natural Resources Initiative, a statewide effort co-founded by CYCA to develop pathways for all Coloradans to a natural resource career; as well as building new partnerships and exploring new service deliveries to corps and corps members.
- AmeriCorps Strategic Planning and Oversight—this entails overseeing the two largest AmeriCorps grants in Colorado consisting of $5.2 million and 600+ members. Duties include marketing the grants, leading the program evaluation, and supervising the AmeriCorps and Contract Manager position.
- Supporting the Colorado Corps Network—this entails fostering collaboration and communication among CYCA’s eight accredited corps; coordinating professional development opportunities for corps staff; and managing the accreditation process.
- Partnership Management—this entails managing a portfolio of valued partners including Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) and CO Parks & Wildlife; managing a $1 million Request for Proposals process with GOCO; and raising the profile of CYCA’s partnerships to audiences across the state.
This position has a salary range of $73,000 to $78,000 with outstanding benefits including 100% of medical and dental premiums paid for the employee and spouse/legal partner; matching 403(b) retirement contributions; family leave; and paid vacation and sick leave.
This position does not require previous experience in every single duty and responsibility outlined in the attached position description. This position will adapt and evolve to amplify the strengths of the right team member while creating a plan for professional growth in other areas.
