Eagle County Open Space and Natural Resources is hiring! Join a dynamic team working on Colorado’s Western Slope to protect and steward our region’s spectacular landscapes and precious natural resources. The Open Space and Natural Resources department manages over 3,000 acres of dedicated Open Space properties and is the leading resource in the County for vegetation management and stewardship.
Currently there are two, seasonal postings available.
Open Space Resource Technician– The Open Space Resource Technician is a multifaceted position that includes maintenance responsibilities such as; trail work, trash removal, stocking and cleaning restrooms and mowing, and resource management responsibilities such as; safety patrols, property monitoring, and public outreach.
Vegetation Stewardship Technician– The Vegetation Stewardship Technician works with a small team to manage noxious weeds and assist with ecological restoration projects. Responsibilities include herbicide application, vegetation mapping, mowing, seeding and other vegetation stewardship methods on Open Spaces and Right-of-Ways.
