Rocky Mountain Field Institute (RMFI) is looking for an experienced and dedicated Trail Crew Leader to lead our professional trail crews. Join our team and lead the charge in trail work, environmental restoration, and education in the stunning landscapes of Southern Colorado! Work in iconic parks and open spaces like Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, and the Sangre de Cristo Wilderness.
As a TCL, you’ll guide and inspire a team of 4-8 crew members through single and multi-day field projects, imparting trail and restoration techniques to volunteers, interns, and youth conservation corps members. You’ll coordinate with our land management partners in developing project scopes of work, manage project logistics, and serve as the primary in-field leader on a variety of trail and conservation projects.
Status: Temporary, full-time, non-exempt
Salary: $23 – $25/hour
Term: Approximately March – November
Benefits: Sick leave, gear stipend, pro-deals, cellphone stipend
