Colorado Parks and Wildlife is seeking a Wildlife Habitat Technician and Customer Service Intern. This position exists to assist full-time Brush Area Office Staff with Customer Service to the public and to assist Wildlife Property Technicians, District Wildlife Managers, and other area staff with wildlife-related habitat projects, property and equipment maintenance, etc., on multiple State Wildlife Areas and State Trust Lands. The successful applicant(s) must be willing to travel and work in inclement weather, and work some night/weekend/holiday shifts. Must be willing to lift 80 lbs repeatedly during the course of a workday.
Position duties include:
- Customer service in an office setting, attention to detail required.
- Utilizing state-owned vehicles and equipment (Trucks, ATVs, Tractors, Heavy Equipment).
- Management of noxious weeds.
- Welding, fabrication, equipment maintenance, building and facilities maintenance.
- General property maintenance, including fence building/repair.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Preference may be given to applicants pursuing a degree in Natural Resources, Wildlife Management, or similar and/or have experience in agriculture, operation of farm machinery/equipment, or property/weed management experience.
