South Platte Park is offering a half-day class in wetland plant identification for the front range through CSU’s Native Plant Master Program. The three-day version (that qualifies towards the NPM certificate) has long been sold out with a waitlist, but the half-day class has openings and is a great alternative to get started. Thursday, July 27, 8:30 am – 12:30 pm. Differentiate some of the common rushes, sedges, and marsh plants. Learn wetland invasives, and look at various natural and created wetland systems along the South Platte River in Littleton. Great for folks new to the region, dipping a toe into learning some of the less showy native plants, or getting started in local wetland delineation. Register here or visit www.conativeplantmaster.org for details.
