The Jefferson County Parks & Open Space Natural Resources Team is excited to announce an opportunity to join our team for the 2026 field season.

We are currently hiring for one limited-term Natural Resources Specialist position to support our Native Plant Materials Program and Trails Reclamation efforts. The ideal candidate will have experience conducting natural resource surveys, collecting native seed, working with volunteers, constructing and maintaining park infrastructure, and applying reclamation principles. Preferred qualifications include the ability to identify native and non-native plant species, experience using mobile mapping software, operating motorized equipment, and collecting data from monitoring transects and plots. This position works across multiple disciplines, including plant ecology, invasive species management, and trail management.

This role follows Jefferson County’s four-day workweek schedule: Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
