The Youth Exploring Stewardship Coalition (https://youthexploringstewardship.com/) is hosting its 8th annual Youth Exploring Stewardship (YES) Conference October 10-11 at Cal-Wood Education Center.
With the generous support of Colorado Parks & Wildlife, this two-day leadership summit is FREE for Front Range area high schoolers. At the YES Conference, students will explore a variety of environmental and outdoor ed activities, complete a large-scale restoration stewardship project, take a deeper dive into trail design or river restoration, and most importantly come together with a diverse group of their peers from across the region who share a passion for the outdoors and making a difference.
Students stay overnight in the cabins at Cal-Wood, and all meals are provided (except for lunch the first day). And we have the ability this year to support transportation by offering stipends to carpool drivers.
We cannot take groups at this time, but we do still have spaces available for individual students or potentially up to several representatives of a group or program. Please share this opportunity and the attached flyer with high schoolers you work with, teachers, and other partners, and encourage interested students to complete the Conference interest form as soon as possible.
