As a natural Resources Senior Specialist you will provide field and office supervision of work crews of more than two Full-Time employees and manage natural resources of Jefferson County Open Space (JCOS) properties. Collect, analyze, and disseminate natural resource data and information. Prepare natural resource management plans based on sound scientific and biological principles. Complete reports that detail past, current and future needs to ensure best management practices are followed. Operate specialized heavy and light equipment, hand tools, and data collection devices in the performance of invasive species control, forest management, ecological restoration, wildlife management, inventory and monitoring of natural resources, and related work. Train staff. Manage budgets, contractors, and collaborators. Provide public outreach and communicate with other work units, departments and agencies.
