Good morning,
Passing along this announcement from the Society for Ecological Restoration; as a restoration ecologist and CERP myself, I’d be happy to answer any questions about the certification and the application process. The certification is a nice professional development opportunity, and SER also offers a “CERP In Training” level for less-experienced practitioners and recent graduates.
Only 10 days left to apply! Submit an application to SER’s Certified Ecological Restoration Practitioner (CERP) program by October 31 and become a part of a community of restoration practitioners who are committed to designing, implementing, overseeing, and monitoring restoration projects in line with SER’s high professional standards. CERP is the pre-eminent certification program for ecological restoration practitioners and practitioners-in-training. Certified practitioners enjoy:
· A competitive advantage wherever you are in your career, whether you are looking for your first restoration job or recognition of your professional experience in an existing career
· Demonstration to employers, prospective clients, and the public that you are recognized within the field as an expert committed to a high standard of practice and professional development
· Engagement in a network of leading authorities, experienced practitioners, and others working to improve the practice of ecological restoration
· Participation in the only international restoration practitioner certification program
