The Outdoor Education and Park Ranger programs at Red Rocks Community College are seeking a program specialist. Applications close on Sunday, January 9th, 2022.
This administrative position works closely with the department chair to keep the departments running smoothly. Duties may include:
- Working with land management agencies to obtain permits
- Ensuring adjunct instructors and safety technicians are paid on time
- Managing contracts and payment requisitions for outside vendors
- Maintaining/repairing loaner gear
- Assisting instructors with paperwork at the beginning and end of each semester
- Creating Emergency Evacuation Plans for field experiences
- Maintaining good records of instructor credentials and contact information
- Other duties as assigned
I’m not on the hiring committee, but I can tell you from experience that knowing Word, Excel, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and CalTopo are big pluses!
