Colorado Prairie Dog Squad is recruiting citizen scientists!
Join us for our first-ever volunteer training session to experience urban conservation science first-hand as a Colorado Prairie Dog Squad Citizen Scientist. Learn how you can help in the management and protection of Colorado’s prairies for future generations by collecting scientific data through iNaturalist, or even engaging your own classroom, club, or scout troop in local citizen science.
When: Saturday, May 26th, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Where: Paul Derda Recreation Center (13201 Lowell Blvd., Broomfield, CO 80020)
Citizen Scientist volunteers will experience hands-on activities to learn about prairie dog ecology, management, and research. Trainees will also practice collecting data through iNaturalist at Broomfield County Commons Open Space.
This training event is FREE to attend, but spots are limited! Register today using this Google Form.
No experience is necessary. Children age 10 and up are permitted with adult supervision. For more information, visit our website.
We hope to see you there!
