COSA Noxious weeds/grass height municipal code language

Hi COSA community,

We are looking to clean up some of our municipal code language as it concerns noxious weed control and tall grass maintenance/mowing.

Specifically looking for anyone to pass along language from their municipality that they feel strongly backs up any or all of the following:

  • Requiring landowners to manage noxious weeds, other types of non-noxious weeds, brush, etc.
  • Requiring landowners to mow weeds or tall grass in a right of way adjacent to their property (line of sight, intersection sight triangles, etc.)
  • Height limit grass cannot exceed before management is required, certain species permitted/not permitted to exceed?
  • Any language that excludes public open space/natural areas from grass height limits or other restrictions (outside of noxious weed mgmt.).

Thanks in advance for your help!
