COSA City of Longmont is Hiring Rangers!

Hello COSA,

The City of Longmont Natural Resources Division is hiring Temporary Community Rangers to patrol and protect our public lands. Community Rangers will patrol greenways, parks, reservoirs, nature areas, open space, and Downtown District by vehicle, foot, bike, e-bike, or boat to ensure visitor safety and resource protection. The Natural Resources Division manages a diverse public lands system ranging from Button Rock Preserve in the foothills above Lyons, CO to urban greenways and Union Reservoir on the east side of Longmont. Community Rangers will be responsible for patrol of the greenways but may also be assigned to a specific district such as Button Rock Preserve or Union Reservoir.

Community Rangers will be offered training opportunities in emergency medicine, public safety, and boat rescue. Hiring range is $19.87-$22.07/hr for a season of max 1559 hours. Prior experience or certification in first aid, wildland fire, law enforcement, or natural resources is preferred. Please apply here.
