Job Title: Natural Areas Technician

Hourly Wage: $13.00 – $15.00Based on Experience

Position Type: Seasonal (May – November)

Job Description: The High Plains Environmental Center is providing a unique and rewarding seasonal employment opportunity, approximately May through November 2021, for individuals willing to conduct invasive species management, native plant management, landscape maintenance, as well as other duties as needed. This position will be primarily focused on vegetation management, but may include park maintenance and visitor management as well. This position will occasionally work with other seasonal staff on other HPEC projects (landscaping, nursery, etc.). Some of the work will take place on the High Plains Environmental Center’s 275 acre open space and 130 acres of managed areas within Centerra. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge pertaining to native and non-native plants, initiative to work unsupervised, desire to work outdoors, and is physically fit.
