Hello COSA Community,
My name is John Leintz. I work for the Outdoor Education and Park Ranger Program at Red Rocks Community College.
We offer 2 year degrees in both Outdoor Education and Park Ranger Technology (flyers attached). We also offer a number of certificates related to the field:
- Outdoor Education
- Introduction to Outdoor Education
- Outdoor Professional
- Wilderness Therapy
- Outdoor Business Management
- Outdoor Education/Facilitation
- Park Ranger Technology
- Resource Interpretation
- Park Ranger Specialist
In addition to degrees and certificates, we also offer a number of certifications including Wilderness First Responder, Wilderness First Aid, Leave No Trace, and several others.
Students graduate from our program as outdoor professionals who are set-up to succeed at the next level.
I am reaching out to you to see how our programs might be able to help each other out. We are currently trying to increase our enrollment for the upcoming school year. If any of your staff/instructors are interested in furthering their education in the outdoor field, Red Rocks would be a great option for them.
If you are interested in learning more about our program or have any ideas in ways our programs could collaborate, please let me know. Right now I am currently going around to different programs and talking to staff at summer trainings, as well as dropping off brochures and flyers. If you have a training/meeting coming up where I may be able to stop by for a few minutes to discuss the program and drop off some brochures please let me know!

We run an online job board, so if you are hiring and need help spreading the word about jobs, please let me know. We love to collaborate with programs in the industry as much as possible, so please let me know if you have any other thoughts.
