DHM Design is excited to announce that we are currently seeking a highly-qualified and motivated Natural Resources Associate to join our team in either our Denver or Carbondale, Colorado office.

Job Description:

As a Natural Resources Associate at DHM Design, you will play a pivotal role in assisting with project management and coordination, technical report writing, GIS data organization and analysis, and field surveys and monitoring. You will have the chance to work closely with our design team in communicating environmental and ecological objectives, performing on-site assistance with resource mapping, planning, and construction administration for various projects. You will also have the opportunity to travel to various locations throughout Colorado, as well as occasional travel outside of the state.

Experience Level:

We see this role as an opportunity for someone at a mid-career level who is interested in moving into a more senior role within the next 1-5 years. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of professional project experience, with a preference for those with consulting experience in the western United States. A Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Planning, Natural Resource Management, Biology, Ecology, Environmental Resource Management, or closely related field is required.

In addition, familiarity with compliance regulations related to the National Environmental Policy Act, Endangered Species Act, Migratory Bird Treaty Act, Clean Water Act, and state and local environmental rules and regulations is preferred. Technical writing skills and past experience writing documentation for compliance projects and management of natural resources are also required. Experience using ArcMap or ArcPro and conducting natural resource surveys for noxious weeds, wetland delineations, vegetation, and wildlife surveys in various locations throughout the state are essential.

Salary and Benefits:
