COSA Sr Ranger Supervisor Application Deadline Extended

Hello COSA Friends,

The deadline has been extended to August 8 at 3 p.m. for City of Fort Collins Natural Areas Department’s Senior Ranger Supervisor position.

Please share with your networks.

Natural Areas Rangers provide a safe, peaceful, and enjoyable environment for all visitors and trail users, while ensuring the protection of natural and cultural resources on 52 natural areas with over 100 miles of trail. We’re looking for someone to lead the team of dedicated, passionate rangers in their critical work. The Senior Supervisor leads and supports the entire Ranger Team, directly supervising two Lead Rangers who serve as the field supervisors on-duty for rangers who typically work a condensed schedule at the beginning or the end of the week.

Training as a limited Special Commission (Tier 2) officer, Field Training Officer, and Emergency Medical Responder, provided if needed.

The Senior Ranger Supervisor may work one weekend day, typically not both. Schedule is flexible, depending on the needs of the team. Most work is office or field-based with some opportunities for telework.

The first year work plan includes onboarding new Rangers and supporting the transition to a new organizational structure (this is a new supervisory position).
