COSA City of Longmont: Temporary Parks and Open Space Ranger Position

Afternoon COSA Community,

City of Longmont is hiring Temporary Parks and Open Space Rangers to help patrol and protect the City’s reservoirs, parks, open space, and trails. Parks and Open Space Rangers provide resource protection and regulation enforcement, community outreach and education, and public safety at Longmont’s Union Reservoir, McIntosh Lake, and public lands including City of Longmont parks, greenways, and open spaces.

This is an entry-level seasonal position limited to 1560 hours per year. Hiring pay range is $21.59 – $26.39/hour.

Longmont anticipates 40-hours/week employment for this position starting in late-March/early-April with opportunities for limited hours into the winter season pending availability of funding. Rangers will be provided significant job skills training during our spring ranger mini-academy including basic emergency medical, law enforcement, and natural resource management training.
